Sir W M Gell Brass Compass
Antique look brass working compass with the poem Acceptance inside the lid by James Gray. Sir W M Gell used this style of compass for many years in Asia Minor, Greece and Italy and at his death in Maples it was given to dear friend John Auldjo. 7 cm x 7 cm
Poem Acceptance - I think the world was round, To keep us all from lying down. But another possibility, Is that it's curved so we can't see. Too far into the future plan, what lies in store for those who ran..... And turned their backs to follow heart, And choice to live their lives apart.
